If you have a winning card hand you are credited for your win.

                The lowest hand you can win on is Jacks or Better the biggest win will be for a Royal Flush.

                Here are the winning card hands going from low to high

                Jacks or Better – Any pair of the following cards will win jacks, queens, kings and aces.

                Two Pair – This hand needs 2 pairs of cards to win from two different ranks, an example would be a hand that contained 6 of spades, 6 of aces, 3 of diamonds, 3 of hearts.

                Three of a Kind – A hand that has three cards of the same rank in number, an example would be 7’s of hearts, diamonds and clubs.

                Straight – If you have five cards with consecutive numbers even from different suits this is a winning hand. An example could be 3 of hearts, 4 of clubs, 5 of diamonds, 6 of hearts, 7 of spades.

                Flush – When you have five cards of the same suit it’s known as a flush, such as 2,4, 7, 8, ace of hearts.

                Full House – A hand that has three cards of one rank for instance 4 of hearts, 4 of diamonds, 4 of clubs and two of another rank, for example, 7 of spades and 7 of diamonds.

                Four of a kind – A hand that has four cards of the same rank in number, for instance, the 8 of all four suits.

                Straight flush – Similar to a straight but you need 5 five consecutive cards from the same suit, so 2,3,4,5,6 would be a straight flush.

                Royal flush – The chances of winning with this combination will be a jackpot prize you will be laughing all the way to the bank if the outcome is a royal flush. To win you need an ace, king, queen, jack and ten all from the same suit.

                So to win you need you to need combinations of these cards on the first or second hand you are dealt. Knowing what to keep and what to discard is the secret of winning video poker strategy.

                Types & Variations of Video Poker

                There are many different variations of video poker each with their own strategy and rules but most are based on the classic five-card draw.

                Deuces Wild – In this variation all deuces [ the 2 of any suit] is called a wild card. What this means is that you can use the wild deuce card to take the place of any card to take the place of the card you need for a winning hand. A good example would be if you had three of a kind with a deuce it would become four of a kind. The deuce cards add a lot more fun and variation to the game and a different strategy as well.

                Jokers Wild – This is another ‘wild card’ variation and I am sure you have guessed but the wild card is the joker in this game. A natural royal flush is still the best winning hand you can get but the wild joker does give you some the chance to use a different strategy for the other winning hands.
